REMEMBER THAT
WE BELONG.
Helping children, families, and communities reconnect with nature, remember that we belong, and turn that connection into intentional action.
THE MOMENT EVERYTHING CHANGED
During a family staycation in Miami Beach, Eco Codes founder Marly Boscan-Molins experienced a moment that changed how she saw pollution. After picking up trash along the shore, she later discovered a used sanitary pad wrapped around her ankle while playing in the water with her son. Realizing how close pollution was to her child and everyday family life, she knew she had to act.
What began as one personal moment of responsibility grew into Eco Codes—a movement encouraging people to see differently, take action, and protect the places we share.
THE PROBLEM GOES DEEPER
It begins with disconnection.
What if the first step toward protecting our planet isn’t knowing more—but remembering that we belong?
When we stop seeing ourselves as part of nature, it becomes easier not to notice.
Not to question.
Not to care.
We begin to see nature as something around us, rather than something we are part of. And when we lose that sense of connection, we also lose sight of how our everyday choices affect the world we share.
At Eco Codes, we believe lasting change begins by rebuilding that connection.
Because when we remember that we belong—to nature, to one another, and to our common home—we begin to see our role differently.
When we feel connected, we care differently.
And when we care differently, we choose differently.
THE ECO CODES
SIX SIMPLE CODES. ONE SHARED HOME.
The Eco Codes are six simple principles that help us turn the way we care into the way we live.
They begin with three values:
LOVE
Because we protect what we love. Love begins with connection. When we take the time to notice, experience, and appreciate the natural world, caring for it becomes personal.
CARE
Because caring means paying attention. To what we use. What we waste. What we leave behind. And how our everyday choices affect the people, places, and living things around us.
RESPECT
Because we are not the only ones who call this planet home. We share our common home with other people, other species, and generations yet to come. Respect reminds us to consider more than ourselves in the choices we make today.
And those values guide three everyday habits:
REFUSE
Start with what you don’t need. Before something becomes waste, we have the opportunity to prevent it. Refusing unnecessary items—especially single-use ones—is often the simplest place to begin.
REDUCE
Choose less, with more intention. Reducing isn’t about deprivation or perfection. It’s about becoming more conscious of what we consume, what we truly need, and the impact of our choices.
REUSE
See possibility before waste. Reusing helps us extend the life of what we already have, value resources differently, and challenge a culture where convenience can make almost everything feel disposable.
THE ECO CODES WAYS
And when we care, our choices begin to change.
CONNECTION
Create experiences that help people notice, explore, and reconnect with nature.
UNDERSTANDING
Recognize that we are part of nature, not separate from it—and our choices affect our shared home.
BELONGING
When we feel connected, empathy grows and protecting our world becomes personal.
INTENTION
Make more thoughtful everyday choices. We don’t seek perfection—just intention.
ACTION
Small choices become habits, and habits can inspire change in families and communities.
RIPPLE
One experience can inspire one person, one family, or one community—and create a ripple of positive change.

WHAT WE CAN COUNT
WHAT WE CAN’T ALWAYS COUNT
A child who takes an idea home.
A family that begins to question an everyday habit.
A person who notice what they once walked past.
A small choice that inspire others.
But we keep planting them.
Be part of our community
One experience can change a person. And one person can influence another. That’s how ripples begin.
Every person has a place in this story.
Whether you join a cleanup, bring Eco Codes into a school, participate in a community experience, support our work, or simply make one more intentional choice today—you become part of the ripple.
